Most digestive health, stomach and gut problems are considered functional problems.
What are Functional Problems? They are problems that traditional Western medicine does not have good and effective remedies for.
Digestive problems, stomach discomfort, indigestion, poor bowel movement, IBS, Sleep disorders, hormonal imbalance, etc., frequently fall in this category. Very few good long-term remedies are around to effectively manage these kind of “functional” problems.
On the contrary, Traditional Chinese Medicine has a strong suit for many “functional problems”, where traditional Western medicine falls short of.
Dr. Dawn and our Functional Medicine / Nutrition expert Jim Chialtas are both Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners by training.
From ACUPUNCTURE / TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE and FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE point of view, DIGESTIVE HEALTH is of paramount importance to our overall health, and there is a whole system dedicated to successful treatment of Digestive disorders.
Based on this system, the first barrier causing trouble between our FOOD and our BLOOD is the GUTS! Did you know trouble with the GUT is the first step toward eventually tearing down the WHOLE system?

On Saturday, Oct 28th, we will give a presentation on DIGESTIVE and GUT HEALTH based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Functional Medicine principles.
Come and learn how to recognize your problems, and how to take care of them with simple remedies!
At the end of the presentation, Dr. Dawn and Jim will perform a GROUP ACUPUNCTURE session, primarily targeting GI and Digestive problems, and Audiences are welcome to stay for the FREE treatment!

We will start our Deliciously Healthy Social time at 9:20 am, and the Presentation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Our Group Acupuncture session will be from 11:30 to 1 pm.
